How SA Precision came to be....
How SA Precision came to be. Over 25 years ago, I met Ron Allen who at the time was manufacturing suppressors for O.P. Seberger (Phil), Ops Inc.
Ops Inc. had been manufacturing suppressors since the 1980s, most noted for the OPS Inc 12th model paired with the Mk12 SPR rifle, combat proven suppressors still in active service with military (foreign and domestic), law enforcement and of course the sporting community. In 2013 with the passing of Phil, Ops Inc ceased business, Ron continued as Allen Enginnering.
With the release of movies such as Lone Survivor, Blackhawk Down, and others, the 12th Model/AEM5 took off in popularity in the civilian world. Allen Engineering became overloaded with work. Events of the past several years, political uncertainty, and other issues increased demand for suppressors. Covid and supply chain backlogs slowed production even further. Ron's top hand retired and passed away shortly after his retirement.
Because of this, Allen Engineering chose to relinquish production of the larger 3rd model .50 BMG design, .458, .416, and .338 as well as the M24/M40 system. This is where SA Precision came into play in 2022. The name, SA Precision, came from two people who taught me a lot about the suppressor world. The S, for 'Seberger', the A for 'Allen'. The amount of knowledge and information I gained from conversations with the two over the years, just can not be described. I think of some of the conversations I had with Phil, and my head just spins. What he could tell you in a few minutes, was mind boggling. I wish I had absorbed more information in the times I was fortunate to have met him. 'Precision' comes from just that. Precision. Our suppressors are made to exacting tolerances so that you the end user have no issues down the road. Quality and precision come hand in hand. The suppressors quite honestly are overbuilt, but this assures you have no issues.
My background-I am not a new FFL holder and am the owner of several successful businesses. I raise cattle, bees, hops, and lavender. I was taught work ethic at a very early age, if a job needed to be completed it was done even if we had to work Christmas...and often we did! I don't have any kind of college degree and pride myself on that. I never took formal machining classes, what I know was mostly self taught. A long time resident of California I decided it was best to open shop in Reno, Nevada as we all know California is not business or gun friendly. Our suppressors are made of 300 series aircraft grade stainless steel and are a reflex style suppressors meaning they go back over the barrel. This, will either require profiling of your barrel for the correct fit, or a custom collar similar to what Ops Inc/Allen Engineering use. The suppressors 'lock' against a 20 degree taper, which acts as a second indexing point keeping the suppressor aligned with your bore. Our suppressors have been shown to increase accuracy and can increase muzzle velocity as shown by cronograph.

A lot of social media is not firearm friendly so we don't spend a lot of time with them, we have better things to do like making happy customers. Our phone is a land-line, so don't bother texting., we won't recieve it. We may not always hear the phone when working with machines, so leave a message but preferably call back.
